Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose embroidery?
Embroidery is durable, professional, and timeless. It’s a great choice for company logos on hats, polos, jackets, workwear, and uniforms. Embroidered designs have a premium look and hold up well to repeated wear and washing.
Why choose DTF printing?
DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing produces vibrant colors, sharp detail, and a smooth, flexible finish. It’s ideal for full-color artwork, photographs, gradients, and designs with fine detail. DTF also works well on lightweight or stretchy garments that may not be suitable for embroidery.
Is your embroidery done in-house?
Yes. Embroidery and other apparel decoration are completed in-house at our shop in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
Which decoration method is right for my project?
As a general rule, embroidery is often the best choice for company logos on hats, polos, jackets, and uniforms. DTF printing is usually the better option for large graphics, full-color artwork, photographs, and detailed designs on t-shirts and hoodies. If you’re unsure, we’ll help you choose the best option.
What is digitizing?
Digitizing is the process of converting artwork into an embroidery file that tells the embroidery machine how to sew your design. Embroidery machines cannot read artwork directly—they require specialized sewing instructions created through digitizing.
What is a vector file?
A vector file is artwork created using mathematical paths rather than pixels. Vector artwork can be resized without losing quality and is often used for printing and logo reproduction. Common vector file formats include AI, EPS, PDF, and SVG.
Why might my artwork need to be vectorized?
Low-resolution artwork can appear blurry, pixelated, or rough when printed or reproduced. Vectorizing artwork creates clean, sharp edges and helps ensure a professional final result.
Do you have minimum order quantities?
No. We can produce a single item if needed. Orders under 12 pieces are subject to a $50 small-order charge.
Do you charge setup fees?
For embroidery, we charge a one-time digitizing fee of $35 per logo. If artwork for DTF printing needs to be vectorized, we charge a one-time vectorization fee of $30. Once completed, we’ll keep your files on record for future orders.
